Cybersecurity and the NIS2 Directive: How Green Center Protects Parking and Access Control Systems
The European Union's NIS2 directive, effective from November 1, 2025, brings a significant tightening of cybersecurity requirements. Its impact is far from affecting only IT departments – it is increasingly shaping the requirements for modern parking and access control systems. These have become an integral part of the digital infrastructure of buildings and complexes. How do we at Green Center ensure that our solutions withstand new threats?
The European Union’s NIS2 directive, effective from November 1, 2025, brings a significant tightening of cybersecurity requirements.
Data security and integration without compromises
Modern systems today commonly communicate over data networks and enable remote supervision. From the NIS2 perspective, this means increased demands on communication security and access management. At Green Center, we reflect this development as early as the design phase. Our standard is encrypted communication between individual elements of the system, which corresponds to current requirements for protection against unauthorized access.
Our parking and access control systems are designed as open solutions. They can be easily connected to the facility’s superior security and camera platforms and naturally integrated into the customer’s existing IT architecture – including support for Single Sign-On (SSO), which is a crucial benefit especially for large-scale installations.
Physical security as an integral part of protection
However, security does not end for us at the digital layer. We also reflect the need for physical space protection, and therefore we have expanded our portfolio of access solutions. We are preparing a completely new offer of traffic bollards and road barriers. These elements with a high degree of protection find application in sensitive sites, government buildings, or when securing events with the strictest security demands.
30 years of development and stable partnership
Behind our ability to respond flexibly to new legislative requirements stands more than 30 years of in-house development of technologies for managing the movement of people and vehicles. With more than 2,200 active installations in 36 countries worldwide and the strong service background of a direct Czech manufacturer, we can guarantee that our solutions meet not only current standards but will also stand up in long-term and demanding operations.
